It is an improved version of the earlier M3 shoulder holster.
Like the M3 shoulder holster the M7 has a belt loop on the bottom of the holster although it was not often used
The M7 shoulder holster has an extra waist strap to stop it from bouncing around when climbing in and out of vehicles and the shoulder strap has a wide leather shoulder pad which slides up the leather strap so you can place it on your shoulder for extra comfort.
